THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test
Published October 20th, 2007 in Societyokay, I nicked this off Mr Wang who got it from the Herald Sun…
THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test … do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.
LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic / detail oriented / facts rule / words and language / present and past / math and science / can comprehend /
knowing / acknowledges order / pattern perception / knows object name / reality based / forms strategies / practical / safe
RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling / “big picture” oriented / imagination rules / symbols and images / present and future / philosophy & religion / can “get it” (i.e. meaning) / believes / appreciates / spatial perception / knows object function / fantasy based / presents possibilities / impetuous /risk taking.
Before I started reading any of the text, I saw the girl going around in clock-wise direction, but strangely enough after a blinks, it was going in the anti-clock-wise direction, well, it keeps toggling between the direction and the blink continues…Â Looks like I am constantly switch between the 2 brains… But I must say my default it clock-wise…
I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me initially. Actually, I think the figure actually changes directions after around 49 twirls. It always turns in the direction of the outstretched leg and arm. It changes direction when it’s on its side, so it could actually “switch” legs and arms without actual “movement” of the leg and arm.
After spending some time observing the figure, I have found a simple method which can allow myself in 1 sec. to see it spinning clockwise or anti-clockwise. Curious?
