Tokyo Taxi blues

Well, back in Singapore now and I flagged down a taxi this afternoon. Its one of those blue cabbies. Now the door says “Autodoor” and I instinctively stood behind the taxi door…. waiting for it to open! Arggghhh… I’m in Singapore lah, goondoo! Okay, so I opened the taxi door, after being stumpped awhile as to why an autodoor don’t automatically open.

So I got into the seat and waited…. for the door to automatically close! Double goondoo, you are not in Japan anymore, duh! Sheepish, I shut the taxi door and said: “Uncle, Lot1 please”.

Yeah, gonna take me while to readjust to the jostling in the MRTs, the hogging of the escalatars on both sides and the “different” level of customer service. :-)
