Tokyo Taxi blues
Published April 1st, 2006 in Culture, Thinking aloudWell, back in Singapore now and I flagged down a taxi this afternoon. Its one of those blue cabbies. Now the door says “Autodoor” and I instinctively stood behind the taxi door…. waiting for it to open! Arggghhh… I’m in Singapore lah, goondoo! Okay, so I opened the taxi door, after being stumpped awhile as to why an autodoor don’t automatically open.
So I got into the seat and waited…. for the door to automatically close! Double goondoo, you are not in Japan anymore, duh! Sheepish, I shut the taxi door and said: “Uncle, Lot1 please”.
Konichiwa!… hehe… what a humourous ‘autodoor’ experience…
Cheers. Take Care.
Yeah, gonna take me while to readjust to the jostling in the MRTs, the hogging of the escalatars on both sides and the “different” level of customer service.
Wah…
so fast you are missing japan, you will miss the taxis, you will miss the weather, you will miss the food, you will miss the service…. sigh… i miss japan too!
Haha … the taxi in japan so ex!! i wouldn’t never take a taxi there lor~
