Not getting married, it can be a good thing!

My sister & me were discussing about what food to prepare for my dad, as she invited him to our house for lunch on the 1st day of Chinese New Year. And so, I was telling her what dad don’t like to eat and what food he can eat. You see, my dad have no teeth and depends on false teeth, hence cannot eat food that is too tough for the dentures. Also I know what my dad likes or don’t like because I do spend time with him occassionally for lunches.
Sister: “Well, its a good thing that you are not going to get married, eh?”
(she knows I’m gay and so does my dad)
Me: “Why?”
Sister: “You are the only son who keeps him company and have lunch with him. So he must be pretty glad that you are not getting married!”
Me: “Oh”
The funny thing is these days all the “married” men I got to know, actually envy me being single lol
How ironic.
Yeah, I get some of these too from married people (not just men). They envy my ability to go anyway I want and do anything I like.
Hmmmmm … Haha. My bro also made similar comments about me accompanying my mum … (so i retorted by making known intentions of moving over to live with his family next time if i still remain single and if mum’s no longer around hahaha) But seriously i do hope to marry the guy i love and settle down one day, leading a simple family life like other normal couple.
Btw, nice blog there. Keep writing. =)
